Yvonne Cabine, the award winning Master Milliner and owner of Where Did U Get That Hat
Yvonne's custom creations have earned her numerous accolades, including the Hatty Award from Hat Life
and "Hat of the month" from the eMagzine, HATalk.
Yvonne has been designing and making elegant hats for many years. A hat enthusiast since she was a teenager. As a little girl she would sit in church and admire the fancy hats worn by older ladies. She dreamed of the day she could wear the extravagant hats her mother Hazel donned every Sunday.
When she was 14, she started wearing hats to church, even though most of the girls her age weren't wearing them.
The very first hat she made was for her mother-a straw hat with silk flowers and pearl beads. She began modifying hats and wearing them every Sunday, "I never wear the same hat twice." Yvonne's hat making became more than just a pleasant diversion. She realized that she wanted to learn more about millinery than she could teach herself. She studied in Chicago, Saugatuck, and France. In France, her instructor was the Milliner for Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.
Today, Yvonne creates for others, using the highest quality and rare materials found all over the world; a dream come true.
An accomplished Saginaw Milliner who knows how to accent your Easter, Mother's Day, and Kentucky Derby ensemble.
